After going to see Stonehenge this misty morning we had lunch in the village and ran a few errands. At home in Burcombe, we settled in wordlessly – both picking up recently started books. She is reading “The Girl on the Train” and I am reading “Personal”.
Both books seem to be picking up steam and we are quite comfortable lounging about in Southern England….reading. We have arranged this trip so that we are spending roughly what we were spending to live in Austin. There, we would not feel any regrets for “spending” the afternoon reading. The meter is not running any faster here than it did at home. It’s just life in another place.
“Home” has many definitions.
